Their max size is around 1". Their care is very similar to the Cambarellus patzcuarensisand they seem to be very hardy as well. I keep them in ph of around 7.0 - 7.4 with a temp of 70 -76F. They share their tank of mine with some shrimp, Snails and plants without any problems at all so far. These are very rare and not offered very often. These are baby to juveniles.
Please note these will usually arrive a light blue and in our experience get darker as they mature and ready to breed.

My Dwarf Crayfish was nice and healthy moving around all the time!

The crayfish came in just a few days well packaged and protected from the heat. I was nervous that it wouldn't be blue but it really was. It seems to be very healthy when it comes out from hiding. Great purchase!

The crayfish arrived in perfect condition. It was a dull greenish-brown color with black spots. Even though it found a hiding place immediately, it did not survive with the three CPO crayfish that I purchased at the same time. I found the remains of this crayfish 2 days after it was introduced into my tank.

The CPO dwarf I purchased ate the blue dwarf crayfish. I have not seen the blue dwarf in two days so I assume the orange dwarf ate it.
From us: That is always a possibility but if there are enough hides they generally get along and it's definitely a possibility that it is just hiding especially since it's a new tank to them.

Absolutely LOVE this little guy! Full of life, very healthy. I call him Chuck Norris, because he patrols the perimeter of the tank with his tiny little claws up, thinking he's a bad-a$$ haha! My Delta Jumbo male betta messed with him ONCE. But never again. Little Chuck showed him what was what! ADORABLE! He and my little CPO like to spar. Very fun to watch :)

This is not my first order with Elite Inverts. I always go to them and never am disappointed. I ordered this crayfish and the packaging was perfect.Even though it was snowing outside and cold, the crayfish was alive upon arrival and still is to this day.
I would recommend the company to anyone and those little crayfish as well!

you never will really get one as blue as the one in the picture... there is really quite some variation...
but my blue dwarf actually is clearish with lavender undertones, with reddish claws and a green spot on one side! you never quite know what you will get once the clear color of youth, and stress of shipping wears off...
i have another that is nearly blue-black, and one more that is blue-brown.
their behavior, care etc is very similar to CPOs

Bought this one and the Orange CPO, definitely go with the orange instead. The "blue" one arrived very small, pale and brownish, and it died within days of arrival (unlike the orange one). Would not recommend this specimen in particular.
From Elite
These are clearly stated in the description that they will arrive a lighter blue.
Please note these will usually arrive a light blue and in our experience get darker as they mature and ready to breed.
